Took my first off today! (Friday) Its off in lieu of my birthday, cause i didn't realize i get off on my birthday on my birthday itself (still go out cover event and chase 2M* lor!) so its belated but still shiok, especially since i picked a Friday (i.e. longer weekend!!!)
But this week's work has been pretty good, thanks to Singapore Airshow, since everyones (amanda) off to Changi to cover/manage/watch aircraft. As for me, Larry didn't apply for trade passes for Joel and i so we couldn't go down. Which is pretty sad since when i went down to cover the preview on Saturday it was so freaking cloudy, with a particularly big and black one right smack in show centre (which is the centre of where the Black Knights will be flying) so i could see NOTHING.
Good point is that whenever Amanda is out of office my life becomes much happier. Not that i get less work, since my work is like a pile that leaves me no breaks anyway, but at least she won't be around to bug me to do little bits of her work and to do random stuff for her. I guess shes somewhat an ok person, just that shes too much of a slavedriver i guess (labelling courtesy of armynews, lol)
Of course, much of my work now is related to the RSAF 40th Anniversary Book, which makes me wonder whats my daily workload going to be like after the book is finished. Hopefully its interesting, because though the research and sourcing for the book was fun for a while, after arduous hours its becoming pretty tedious and frustrating.
Oh well, hopefully i didn't disclose classified stuff, don't wanna get charged =x
